Arizona Not public yet — State acknowledged a role but has not said what it is. National Guard activity reported
What’s happening
Independent journalist Ken Klippenstein’s October 28 report lists Arizona among the seven states that have publicly acknowledged a National Guard role in the 2026 election. No Arizona agency has published the mission’s details — what the Guard is doing, how many members are involved, or for how long.
Arizona has used Guard election support before: it was one of the fourteen states with Guard cyber assistance in the 2022 midterms, and the Arizona National Guard partners with the Secretary of State’s office on election cybersecurity, including vulnerability assessments.
Nothing about a Guard role at Arizona drop boxes or polling places has been announced. This page will be updated when the state publishes details.
The threat this responds to
Arizona’s elections draw national attention and have faced sustained pressure and threats in recent cycles, which is why an acknowledged-but-undescribed Guard role deserves watching: the gap between “the Guard is involved” and any public description of how is the thing to close.
What it means if you vote in Arizona
Nothing about voting in Arizona has changed, and no Guard presence at voting sites has been reported. What is missing in Arizona is information, not safety measures voters need to take.
