Polivion — Political Transparency Platform,
Structured

The candidate transparency platform built on data, not popularity.

Polivion is a political transparency platform that helps people understand elections, candidates, and influence through clear, structured data.

It organizes public information into comparable insights — including candidate positions, funding sources, and accountability signals — so voters can make informed decisions.

PoliVion scores every candidate on transparency, donor independence, and governance fit — not polling, name recognition, or party loyalty. We follow the money so you can see exactly who funds each candidate, what special interests are involved, and how that shapes their positions. Every scored page reflects the most recent publicly available data at time of publication.

🔍
Not Popularity-Based
Scores reflect which candidates best serve their state's needs based on transparency data — not who's ahead in polls or who has the biggest ad budget.
💰
Donor Transparency
Every scored page documents where campaign money comes from — PACs, lobbies, self-funding, small donors — so voters understand financial relationships before casting a ballot.
📅
Updated as Races Develop
Scores and candidate data are updated as new information becomes available. Each page shows its most recent update date. Data reflects publicly available sources at time of publication.

The Scoring Model

What PoliVion measures — and why

Every candidate is scored across five weighted dimensions. The algorithm doesn't care about party, incumbency, or name recognition. It asks: is this candidate genuinely independent, positioned on the issues, and capable of governing?

⚖️
Issue Alignment (25%)
Does the candidate's platform reflect documented district needs, not just party talking points?
💸
Donor Independence (25%)
Where does the money come from? PAC exposure, lobby funding, and concentrated corporate donors all reduce this score. Integrity penalties apply for documented pay-to-play patterns.
📊
Data Completeness (15%)
Candidates who disclose more get higher scores. Opacity is itself a signal.
🏛️
Governance Fit (15%)
Judicial fitness, electoral credibility, and operational competence — does this person have the background to actually do the job?
🎯
Position Clarity + Budget Feasibility (20%)
Vague promises score low. Specific, fundable proposals score high.

★ Recommended
Integrity penalties apply when documented pay-to-play, foreign lobby exposure, or other integrity risks are found — these reduce both the donor independence score and the composite.

Methodology

How PoliVion works

No algorithms trained on engagement. No advertiser influence. Every score is built from a documented, open methodology applied consistently across every candidate.

01 / Research
Primary source data only
FEC filings, OpenSecrets, TrackAIPAC, campaign websites, Ballotpedia, and official voting records. No polling aggregates, no pundit scores, no editorial shortcuts.
02 / Score
Consistent algorithm, every candidate
The same five-dimension weighted formula applies to every candidate on every page. No curve, no partisan adjustment. Incumbents with AIPAC money score lower than challengers without it, regardless of party.
03 / Penalties
Integrity risk reduces scores
Documented pay-to-play relationships, foreign lobby exposure, ethics violations, and electoral integrity issues each carry specific point penalties. The algorithm penalizes relationships, not amounts.
04 / Transparency
Every score is explainable
Each candidate card shows the exact breakdown: what scored well, what didn't, why penalties were applied, and what the donor profile looks like. Nothing is a black box.
05 / Updates
Updated as races develop
Candidate entries are revised when new financial disclosures, endorsements, or documented positions emerge. Each page notes the most recent update date. Scores aren't set-and-forget.
06 / Independence
No advertising, no sponsors
PoliVion carries no advertising and accepts no money from political organizations, campaigns, PACs, or lobbying groups. The score is the product — nothing else.
